Use this checklist before you order a ReNSol smart deadbolt (RNSV-CA229F01BN). Print it or keep it open on your phone while you measure. You need a tape measure and about five minutes.
Measure
- ☐ Door thickness is between 35 and 55 mm (1⅜″–2⅛″). My door: ______ mm
- ☐ Backset (door edge to centre of the deadbolt hole) is 60 mm (2⅜″) or 70 mm (2¾″). My backset: ______ mm
- ☐ Bore hole is a standard 54 mm (2⅛″) deadbolt hole, or there is no hole yet and I'm comfortable drilling with the included template.
Check the door
- ☐ The door is flat and level, with no warping or gaps around the lock area.
- ☐ My current deadbolt throws and retracts without sticking.
- ☐ The outside of the door stays dry and doesn't drop below −10 °C (for example, a condo suite door, office door or sheltered entry).
Check your setup
- ☐ I have an iPhone or Android phone for the free TTLock app.
- ☐ My 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi reaches the door (needed for remote unlocking and the camera doorbell; not needed for PIN, fingerprint, card or key).
- ☐ I have a screwdriver and a drill, or a handyman or locksmith to install it.
